CORE DRIVE stabilises decorative gravel across driveways, residential parking and shared access. Its cellular grid and heat-welded geotextile backing work together to restrain the gravel and limit migration beneath the cells.
CORE DRIVE
Membrane-backed gravel grids for driveways and shared access.
- Grid material
- Recycled HDPE
- Attached membrane — verified 40-30 / 40-40
- 50 gsm nonwoven polyester
- Verified panel coverage
- 1.92 m²

Angular gravel is contained within the honeycomb cells while the attached permeable membrane forms a closed base to each panel. Connected sheets create a continuous surface over the prepared bedding and sub-base.
Choose the CORE DRIVE variant around traffic, turning, gradient and panel format. Move to CORE COMMERCIAL where the project is a regular commercial or public traffic environment.

- Decorative gravel driveways
- Residential and shared-access projects
- A concealed grid beneath the finished gravel
- Projects needing an attached geotextile interface
Check the interfaces.
Product choice must account for wheel spin, braking, stationary turning, gradients and edge restraint.
The surface grid does not compensate for an unsuitable or poorly compacted supporting build-up.
Aggregate grading, fill level and maintenance must follow the current product guidance.
Build it in the right sequence.
- 01
Prepare and compact the project-designed sub-base and any specified separation or reinforcement.
- 02
Install continuous edge restraint and 5–10 mm of compatible bedding.
- 03
Lay membrane downward, engage panels and cut around interfaces.
- 04
Fill every cell before trafficking and compact the angular aggregate.
- 05
Top up and maintain the surface; avoid wheel spin and stationary heavy-vehicle turning.
Use the current exact product document, approved project detail and site inspection plan.

CORE DRIVE questions.
Which CORE DRIVE variant is right for my project?
CORE needs the traffic type, frequency, turning areas, gradient, formation, proposed sub-base and gravel. Those inputs determine whether CORE DRIVE 40-30, 40-40, 50-35 HD or another surface route is appropriate.
Why is a membrane attached to CORE DRIVE?
The heat-welded geotextile closes the underside of the cells, helping stop gravel migrating beneath the grid while remaining permeable.
Does CORE DRIVE need edging?
Yes. The perimeter and interfaces must restrain and support the panels. The edge detail should suit adjoining surfaces, levels and vehicle movements.
