    Water is collected and directed to the drainage or infiltration zone.

    CORE WATER CRATE units create underground storage voids and are wrapped in geotextile for infiltration.

Before you specify

A soakaway only works where infiltration testing confirms suitable ground conditions; clay soils may be unsuitable.

Attenuation is a different engineered approach and requires project-specific hydraulic and structural design.

What is the difference between a soakaway and attenuation?

A soakaway allows stored water to infiltrate into suitable ground. Attenuation stores water and releases it at a controlled rate to an agreed outfall.

Can CORE WATER CRATE be installed in clay?

An infiltration system depends on measured ground performance. Clay or other low-permeability soils may be unsuitable, so infiltration testing is required before selecting a soakaway.

Can water crates be installed beneath traffic?

Suitability depends on the exact crate, configuration, cover, surrounding material and loads. Ask for current structural data and project-specific review.
