CORE EDGE · FLEXIBLE STEEL LANDSCAPE EDGING
01 · What it is

CORE EDGE is a British-made flexible steel edging system for defining lawns, planting, paths, patios and driveways. Connected strips can form straight runs, sweeping curves and corners across professional and residential landscapes.

02 · How it works

Integrated ground spikes secure the steel profile while the dual-lock connection joins adjacent sections into a continuous line. The surrounding ground and finishes provide the final support.

03 · Selection position

Choose standard CORE EDGE for versatile, ground-spiked steel edging. Move to CORE EDGE HD where the profile or format needs to be more substantial, or to CORE PRO EDGE where aluminium is preferred.

Selection

Choose it for the right reasons.

  • Straight and curved landscape lines
  • Quick ground-spiked installation
  • Material separation in gardens and landscapes
  • Projects requiring a choice of face height and finish
Limitations

Check the interfaces.

CORE EDGE is not a vehicle barrier or structural retaining product.

Exposed height, tight curves, soft ground and heavy compaction may require additional support.

The current finish, cut-end treatment and installation guidance must be followed.

Installation overview

Build it in the right sequence.

  1. 01

Set the line and finished level before opening the run.

  2. 02

Join through the upper slot and fold the locking tabs securely.

  3. 03

Drive using a timber block and mallet so the top edge is not damaged.

  4. 04

Cut with suitable equipment and protect exposed steel to the finish guidance.

  5. 05

Support the edge before heavy compaction; use optional 300 mm extension pins where the approved detail requires them.

Use the current exact product document, approved project detail and site inspection plan.

Straight answers

CORE EDGE questions.

What is the difference between CORE EDGE and CORE EDGE HD?

Both are flexible steel edging systems. CORE EDGE is the versatile standard route, while CORE EDGE HD uses a more substantial profile and includes a long-length option for demanding installations.

Can CORE EDGE form straight lines and curves?

Yes. The connected lengths can form straight runs, sweeping curves and prepared corners. Tight geometry and exposed conditions may need additional support.

Which finish should I choose?

Choose around the design intent, exposure, adjoining materials and maintenance expectations. Confirm the current finish range and treatment of any cut ends before ordering.
