Gravel stabilisation

Project context

A landscape shaped by its purpose.

Voller Gardens is a private gated development by Natta Homes on one of Camberley’s established residential roads. It comprises two five-bedroom, five-bathroom homes, each providing approximately 4,300 sq ft across three floors.

The broad entrances, garages and turning areas called for a driveway finish appropriate to the architecture and landscaped south-facing gardens. Decorative gravel was selected, with CORE DRIVE used to stabilise the surface.

The brief

What the project had to achieve.

Match the scale and quality of two substantial homes with a natural decorative-gravel surface that remained practical across broad entrances and turning areas.

  1. 01

    Premium appearance

The surface needed to preserve the natural decorative-gravel character expected at the two homes.

  2. 02

    Broad vehicle areas

The system had to control stone across entrances, parking and turning space.

  3. 03

    Everyday use

The filled grid needed to support normal residential traffic without remaining visually prominent.

  4. 04

    Permeable surface

Rainfall needed to pass through the gravel and the porous supporting construction.

The CORE solution

Selected around the site—not just the surface.

CORE DRIVE panels were installed beneath the gravel entrances and driveways, then filled and covered with decorative stone.

CORE DRIVE panels were laid across each prepared entrance and driveway, then filled and covered with decorative gravel.

The cellular structure confines the stone and helps distribute everyday wheel loads while remaining largely hidden beneath the completed surface.

Across both homes, the same concealed system gives the entrances and turning areas a consistent, high-quality gravel finish.

The result

The two completed approaches retain a natural gravel appearance while the concealed cellular grid controls the stone and allows rainfall into the supporting construction.
