01 · Range position

Where it fits.

The small-format nonwoven option for landscape, drainage and groundworks applications where handling, filtration and dependable separation are the priorities.

02 · Best suited to

Start here when...

Small and medium projects needing a manageable, highly permeable separation layer.

03 · Construction

Nonwoven · White.

A permeable fibrous structure supports filtration, drainage and separation.

Primary functions
  • Separation between soil and granular layers
  • Filtration: water passes while soil particles are retained
  • Drainage interfaces in compatible build-ups
  • Practical mini-roll handling on smaller sites
Typical applications
  • Paths, patios and landscape build-ups
  • French drains and filter drainage
  • SuDS and soakaway interfaces
  • Small parking areas and shed bases

Range comparison

Do not substitute
by weight alone.

Compare the function and the full set of declared properties. A woven and nonwoven product can both separate layers but behave differently under load and water flow.

General installation

Keep it intact
until covered.

Follow the project method statement and current manufacturer guidance. The steps below are useful principles, not a substitute for application-specific design or inspection.

01

Store and protect

Keep rolls securely stacked and wrapped until required. Protect the fabric from damage and unnecessary exposure.

02

Prepare the subgrade

Remove shrubs, large rocks and similar obstructions. Fill deep ruts, voids and depressions to provide a smooth support.

03

Roll out to the contours

Keep the textile taut enough to minimise folds, but do not stretch it so that it bridges hollows. Temporary ballast may be needed in wind.

04

Maintain continuity

General manufacturer guidance is at least 300 mm overlap side by side and 600 mm end to end. Increase overlaps on soft or uneven ground.

05

Place cover fill safely

Do not traffic directly on exposed geotextile. End-tip onto the edge or already placed fill, then spread using suitable tracked plant.

06

Cover, inspect and repair

Provide at least 150 mm cover before trafficking or compaction. Repair damage with the same textile extending at least 1,000 mm beyond the affected area in every direction.

Cover promptly.

The current general installation guide says temporary uncovered exposure should not exceed seven days. Where a source product sheet states another EN 12224 value, use the more conservative limit unless the current Declaration of Performance confirms otherwise.

Selection limits

Check before specifying.

  • Use it for separation and filtration; it is not a substitute for a purpose-selected woven reinforcement geotextile.
  • The source sheet gives a predicted minimum durability of 100 years but does not state the conditions on the printable product page.
  • CORE TRP is a separately specified system. Do not substitute its membrane or other components without CORE review.

Product questions

Straight answers about the grade, its role and its limits.

Is CORE TerraTrack Lite the same as CORE TRP 10?

It is the underlying membrane grade used by CORE, but the name depends on context. General geotextile supply is CORE TerraTrack Lite; within the branded CORE TRP system it is identified as CORE TRP 10 Membrane and should follow the TRP component schedule.

When should I choose TerraTrack Lite rather than a full roll?

Choose it when the compact 2.25 m-wide mini rolls reduce handling, transport or waste on a smaller project. For larger continuous areas, compare MultiTrack 700 and MultiTrack 1000.

Can it reinforce a haul road?

It is presented here primarily for separation and filtration. Where tensile reinforcement is required, the design and the woven or geogrid product should be selected specifically for that function.
